
Meet Carolyn Settle, MSW, LCSW

Carolyn Settle has been counseling children, adolescents, and adults for 40 years. During that time she has worked in hospital settings, community behavioral health and in private practice. This depth of knowledge has given Ms. Settle the experience and ability to work with a variety of challenging issues and to be able to help people in effective and empowering ways.
A graduate of Arizona State University (ASU), Ms. Settle holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. She also earned a Master’s of Social Work from ASU. Ms. Settle received the “Gift for Giving” 2009 Award for Vision from Sierra Tucson. Ms. Settle is trained in Gestalt Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). Ms. Settle uses a solution-focused approach in a supportive and encouraging online atmosphere.
Ms. Settle is an authority on EMDR with adults, adolescents, and children for trauma, depression, anxiety, phobias, and other distressing life occurrences. She is an EMDR Institute facilitator, an EMDRIA-certified therapist and consultant, and a volunteer for EMDR Trauma Recovery Network Humanitarian Assistant Program (emdrhap.org) as a trainer.
Ms. Settle was a co-investigator in the research of fidelity to EMDR and children under the age of ten. Ms. Settle has been an invited presenter at EMDRIA conferences nationally and internationally. She has presented in the countries of Japan, France, England, India, Indonesia, the Netherlands and Scotland.

Virtual Consultation Services
Carolyn Settle offers individual, group and drop-in consultation sessions to support other therapists as they integrate EMDR into their practice, including:

EMDR Basic Consultation – EMDRIA standards now require a minimum of 10 hours of consultation in addition to the Weekend I and Weekend II training.

Individual and Group Consultation towards EMDRIA Certification which requires a minimum of 20 hours of consultation (learn more).

Individual and Group Consultation for the minimum of 20 hours to become an EMDRIA-approved Consultant.
